El mes del ayuno para el mundo musulmán está por terminar. El próximo martes es el último día y el miércoles se celebrará la fiesta Eid al-Fitr.
Se conmemora la primera revelación de Mahoma y se dedican las horas diurnas al ayuno estricto, que se rompe después del anochecer y de los rezos de rigor.
Para el final del mes sagrado, se prepara una fiesta familiar y comunitaria. Tal como ocurre con los estadounidenses en Acción de Gracias, el mundo islamista este fin de semana viaja a sus lugares de origen para celebrar.
En la fiesta Eid al-Fitr se estrena ropa y calzado. Los hombres buscan el zapato tradicional, hecho a mano, como se muestra en las imágenes.
Y desde el desayuno, la comida abunda; el premio para todos son los postres y los dulces de intrincada confección.
